The event was organized by the Ministry of International Trade and the Institute for Foreign Trade in cooperation with the City of Milan under the patronage of the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister and is held under the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Economic Development.

The day is part of a program that intends to develop and effectively to the policy of internationalization of enterprises, focusing heavily on small and medium-sized enterprises, and signals a clear desire to raise competitive production system in global markets. The conditions of access to European and world markets are constantly evolving, a measure of the great changes brought by globalization.
