THE MARSH OF Brabbia [VARESE]









































The marsh Brabbia [Varese]









And 'one of the largest wetlands in the Lombardy in northern Italy and possibly even in ancient times this area was a bog, and in the past was fully used to extract peat, inert material that was used, once dried, and as fossil fuel as derived from the remains of plants, or was and is still used, carefully chopped and worked in agriculture and gardening, to lighten heavy soil.

The marsh is full for most of a multitude of birds, fish, insects, butterflies and even some small mammals. order to observe birds in their natural environment have been set up the fences and a shed, all equipped with small openings at last to observe, without bringing any disorder, the shed is used above all for the long daytime observations [birdwatching] and, if necessary, in the event of a full moon, even at night.

























The site is particularly important both for nesting and for the wintering of many species of migratory birds.

The area is crossed by several paths that hiked into the swamp itself, and it's easy to find strategic points, the signs suggest that the path to use, it is also common to find the panels that allow the visitor to recognize most of what sparks in the wetlands themselves.

For those wishing to advancing in this beautiful environment, it is advisable for the summer months to avoid the middle of the day to escape annoying ; insect bites.
